The concept of Robocon is an intellectual challenging event in which future engineers can realize the importance of thinking originally and making their own machines with their hands without being swayed by existing common knowledge. This event brings those future engineers the joy of realizing unique ideas and the excitement of creation. ROBOCON kicked off in Tokyo in the year of 2002 was finally held in Seoul, the capital city of Korea, in 2004. 20 teams from across the Asia-Pacific region gathered once again in the ground of the Seoul Olympic Park amid heartfelt welcoming by the host organization, the Korean Broadcasting System. The dynamic city of Seoul was a perfect venue for the engineering students to realize their dreams by bringing the brilliant ideas and creative robots to the global stage of the ABU Robocon. As the third host of the ABU Robocon, KBS bore a fruitful result by accommodating the participants’ needs and making the event exciting and dynamic than ever. It also provided the students and broadcast related persons with excellent facilities and exciting programs so that the participants could share their different cultures as well as build up their friendship during their stay.
